Begin Your Memoir RSVP

One of the inspiring talks presented at General Assembly in Pittsburgh last June was Brian Broome's lecture, in which he encouraged all of us to "Begin your Memoir!" He dismissed the limitations most of us think about when we consider the project. Brian talked about the encouragement and urging three women gave him, a poor, black, dark and queer man to "write it down." He did. His memoir is Punch Me Up To The Gods, published by Houghton Mifflin, 2021. We can learn much from his memoir and his story

UUCNH is offering the opportunity to begin your own memoir. Here's the detail.
June 23, 2024 after church service, about 12:30 or 1 pm.
We will gather in the Sanctuary (rain or shine) for a welcome and orientation.
Writing materials and snacks will be provided.
Please note that we will not be reading our material to each other and we will not be photocopying.
There is no charge but you must register so that we will know if anyone is coming.

Questions and/or suggestions may go to Lou Bartolomucci at lizmarlow@aol.com.
